The Nokia 6500 slide Worthy of Consideration

Filed under: Lots Of Telecommunication Resources — @ 2:12 pm

Strangely the Nokia 6500 slide never sold as well as expected, which is a pity as it is a great little mobile handset. The Nokia 6500 slide is a very well designed handset with a contemporary feel to it. With this mobile phone Nokia have produced something which is pretty well featured for the price.

If you are looking for a fantastic buy, shop online where it is simple to find hundreds of really good deals to select from. Shopping online will save you a lot of money, incredibly it is possible to get free line rental deals on the Nokia 6500 slide , which, in theory, will not cost anything at all.

The battery usage the 6500 slide is 6:00 talk time and 310 hours standby time. A Standard battery, Li-Ion (BP-5M) battery cell is supplied with the Nokia 6500 slide. This mobile handset is bluetooth enabled making a range of devices compatible. Weighing in at 125 g this handset is pretty light. This mobile phone is compact and easy to carry. Colour wise the Nokia 6500 slide comes in, Silver and Black. The available ring-tones enabled on the 6500 slide are Polyphonic (64 channels), MP3 including a vibrating alert . The Nokia 6500 slide has support for 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G UMTS 850 / 2100 . A 3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, video(VGA 3gp@15fps), flash; secondary QCIF videocall is integrated into this mobile handset camera. For mobile Internet users as WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Opera mini) browser is included. Moving on to the display the handset is supplied with a 2.2 inch screen, which is a pretty average size display for the cost of this phone. The screen is a TFT, 16M colors. There are also a number of additional features on the 6500 slide like:

  • Calculator
  • Push to talk
  • Voice memo
  • Calendar
  • FM radio with RDS
  • MP3/AAC/AAC+ player
  • Stainless steel case
  • Java MIDP 2.0
  • Built-in handsfree
  • TV out
  • Even though this is a fairly recent model, it has already been surpassed. It is therefore relatively easy to get a great bargain on the 6500 slide.

    FTP Uploading

Filed under: Great Web Tips — @ 7:01 pm

After your web site is designed, the next thing you’ll need to do is to upload your files to the server using ftp. Ftp simply stands for file transfer protocol. To do that you must have a ftp software program. There are several free ftp software in the market and the one i’m using right now is smartftp and it’s free. I always try to go for freebies unless it’s totally necessary to pay. To get started, click on the link below to begin downloading.

    Smartftp

Now that you’ve downloaded the program, it’s time to learn how to use it. The program itself actually contains a tutorial but here i will explain it briefly. I assume you are running the program now.

    1. Go to file and click on new remote browser. This actually means it will connect to the server. In order to do this you must key in the address, username and password. e.g. Address - ftp .yourdomainname.com username - your username and password - your password. Take note of the ftp. in front for the address. You must key in that or it will not work. Port is by default 21 so don’t worry about that.

    2. Go to file again and click on new local browser. This browser will open on the right and it refers to your local files.

    3. To upload files you actually get it from the local browser to the remote browser. Before this, make sure your initial file is named index.html or index.htm in the local browser. If the initial file is not named such then nothing will appear on the screen. As for the rest of the files you can name it whatever you like.

    4. Now that you’ve got the name correct, left click on the file index.html in the local browser and drag it to public_html folder in the remote browser. The remote browser consists of the left and right section. Left section refers to the root directory and right section refers to the file and folders under it. e.g. highlight the public_html folder on the left and its file and folders will appear on the right. Now just click whatever files you want to upload from the local browser and drag it to the right section of the remote browser.

    5. Once you’ve done so the program will do a file transfer to the server. Take not that you should highlight on th epublic_html folder and press on F5 after every transfer to ensure it’s updated.

    6. Open a new window and type in your website url. You will see the screen as those of your file. Simple right?

    7. Lastly, if your file contains any images, make sure you do a file transfer of those images over as well.

“Her Abuse Never Happened,” the DR. would say - An Olympia, WA Crime Victim’s Account - Part One

Restrained by the sterile exam room gurney, an Olympian victim of repeated abuse could only pray that they didn’t “Put her to sleep.” Oh, she had been spared the grim reaper’s fave rave on several other occasions by her unfailing faith. But this time was different. This was a “Protect-the-state-workers” endorsement mental health MD. His prescription could contain the authority to terminate the tortured trouble maker that wouldn’t keep her mouth shut.

She believes a benevolent God gave her the right words.

“I can follow the rules,” she insisted, “I’ve just got to know what they are!”

“These things never happened,” the Dr. informed her. “Do you understand that?”

“Okay, they never happened,” the now vulnerable victim agreed. “But, the attempts on my life seemed so real,” she half-pleaded, knowing that if she was to be convincing, she couldn’t give up too easily.

“These types of paranoid, false memories are most insidious,” the good Dr. assured her. “After all, when you lost your home and children, you desperately needed to find someone else to blame. Now, my dear, I understand how much you do not want to believe this,” he patronizingly explained to her. As a psychiatric specialist, I see it all too frequently. You are one of many,” he persuasively continued-speaking off camera — beneath the over-door video that didn’t divulge she was talking to anyone but herself–as unintentional tears exited the loony lady’s eyes.

“But,” she started to protest. “But, well… I guess it must all just be in my imagination, huh?”

“Yes, I’m sorry that it is,” the cleverly covert MD assured her. “These things never happened! You are not really very insightful. I am going to transfer you to another part of our facility for 21 days. I will I will see you every morning. With some prescriptions, and proper counsel, we will help you to forget. Whenever you are attacked by these delusional fantasies, you must remind yourself that these things never happened. We will allow you to go home if you’re thinking straight,” he concluded, motioning to the aid that would roll her elsewhere, still strapped to the gurney.

Research reveals brain has biological mechanism to block unwanted memories

For the first time, researchers at Stanford University and the University of Oregon have shown that a biological mechanism exists in the human brain to block unwanted memories.

The findings, to be published Jan. 9 in the journal Science, reinforce Sigmund Freud’s controversial century-old thesis about the existence of voluntary memory suppression.

“The big news is that we’ve shown how the human brain blocks an unwanted memory, that there is such a mechanism and it has a biological basis,” said Stanford psychology Professor John Gabrieli, a co-author of the paper titled “Neural Systems Underlying the Suppression of Unwanted Memories.” “It gets you past the possibility that there’s nothing in the brain that would suppress a memory — that it was all a misunderstood fiction.”

The experiment showed that people are capable of repeatedly blocking thoughts of experiences they don’t want to remember until they can no longer retrieve the memory, even if they want to, Gabrieli explained.

The questions might well be asked:

Do Doctors, Law Enforcement Agencies, the Courts, and Child Protective Services, work with WA State Capitol management to prevent prosecutions of “Important State Employees” who flagrantly break the laws to prevent the exposure of their involvement in illegal drug use, addictions, intimidation of victims, and other clandestine activities? Why aren’t Washing State employees required to take substance abuse tests? Where can violent crime victims find justice when the attorneys in Olympia, WA will not handle the “Hot Potato”? Why haven’t Federal authorities ‘Upset the fruit basket”? For one victim, at least, these questions still demand answers.

Info on F1 Auto Racing Tracks

Filed under: Sports Management — @ 7:49 am

A familiar circuit by and large includes a portion of straight tarmac on which the starting lines are placed. The pit lane, where the F1 drivers enter for petrol & tyres during the Formula One race, and where the F1 constructors operate on the F1 cars ahead of the F1 grand prix race, is typically positioned in parallel to the starting grid. The outline of the rest of the course differs hugely, although in most occasions the course is built in a clockwise direction. Those few tracks that go anti-clockwise (C181& thus have mostly left-handed turns) may cause F1 drivers health troubles owing to the huge lateral forces produced by Formula One engines dragging their body in the reverse direction to normal.

A numerous number of the circuits presently in operation are exclusively built for racing days. The current street race tracks are the Circuit de Monte-Carlo and Melbourne, although street races in other countries come and go (E.g. Las Vegas and Detroit) and plans for such circuits are time and again considered ? most recently London & Beirut. Several other circuits are also fully or partly laid out on normal public roads, for example Spa-Francorchamps. The allure & prestige of the Monaco Formula 1 grand prix are the important motivation why the race circuit is still in use at the moment, since it’s considered not to meet the set safety rules obligatory on other courses. Three-time F1 World champion Nelson Piquet famously portrayed racing in Monaco as “like riding a bike around your own living room”. For info about F1 Grand Prixs, go to F1Tribute.com now.

    Telephone Tips, Techniques and Etiquette

Filed under: Hardware Tips — @ 9:02 pm

Whether using the telephone for business or personal use, using this
communication tool effectively means being timely, communicating clearly and
having the other person’s interest in mind.

1 - Plan and schedule your telephone calls so that you can allow time for off-track
discussions. If you plan a 10:30am telephone call “schedule” it like you might
schedule a face to face meeting: a little extra time, particularly for those you know
    like to talk!
2 - At the beginning of your call, mention you know you can cover the points
needed within time enough for you to make your next appointment, at a stated
time. Then as you want to wind up the conversation you can backtrack to restate the
appointment you mentioned. Or, you may find that someone will remind you, “Oh,
you have to get on to that appointment, right?”
3 - Maybe you prefer to wait until you are into the conversation before needing to
ask for an exit. As you near time to say goodbye and find it difficult to end, try
saying, “Oh my gosh, I have a long distance call I need to take. Can you hold while I
take it?” Your customer or friend will likely say the conversation can pick up later.
And, once again, it is the other person who ends the call.
4 - If you have to leave a voice mail, certain elements are important to include: your
name, when you are calling, a brief message about your purpose, and a telephone
number to return the call to you. If you work in a staffed office and there’s another
extension of someone as an alternate contact, leave his or her name and extension
as well. This last point is being considerate of the other person’s time.
5 - When leaving a voice mail make it easy for the person who is taking and likely
writing down this information. First, you can say the number slowly by area code,
exchange and last digits. For example, say it just as you might write it in the United
States: 777-555-1234. Alternately, or even in addition to the divided method, you
can repeat your telephone number a second time. Or, you can combine both
    methods!
6 - Your outgoing message (om) is as important to etiquette as the message you
leave when you are the caller. For business protocol it’s wise to identify yourself by
name. At home, if you want more security, you may want to just state, “You have
reached, 777-555-1234.” In either environment, state for the caller to leave their
name, telephone number and a brief message. If you include the date, “Monday,
February 21st,” in your om, be certain you change it everyday. If you ever have
anyone run out of time with leaving his or her message, you may also want to
include, “and there is a 30 second (or whatever time) for your brief message.”
7 - The cliché that “time is money,” is particularly true for the working person. That
we all have the same amount of time is true for everyone. Return your telephone
calls on a timely basis, within 24 hours is professional and considerate in either a
    business or personal setting.

Try one of these tips next time you find yourself wanting to be in charge of the
    telephone.
