Wind Powered Houses
A wind-powered house is advised to have solar panels as well for a more efficient combination. Taking in these steps, you will be able to save the environment, spend little or none in the later part, and combat power outages. What then are the things that you should consider if you are planning to place a wind generator at your own home?First, your house should be on a big area. The cleaner the air, the better we breathe, the healthier we will all be. Many residential customers think that converting to residential wind power will be hard or they will need to replace all the wiring in their home. The truth of the matter is that residential wind power can be hooked directly to any home with out the need to switch any of your current wiring or appliances. You can do this with wood, preferably quartersawn sitka spruce, but brasswood would do fine, it is softer therefore easier to carve. But a sitka spruce is still better for blades of a wind turbine. After carving your blades, you can proceed to put them together. Hugh Piggott’s Windpower Workshop book is a great resource in attaching the blades. The screws are mostly connected to the back and the weights were applied to the front.Railroad industry, using windmills to supply water for thirsty locomotives. As the demand for electricity soared during the 21st century, clever farmers and ordinary citizens alike began to turn towards wind power to supply some of this electricity. Now known as wind turbines, these electrical generators powered by wind alone account for more than 1% of total world power generation. In Denmark, wind turbines produce 19% of electric production, 9% in Spain and 6% in Germany.Source: Used Wind Turbines
